Pongal Festival
“The Greatness of a culture can be found in its festival”
Pongal is one of the main festival of southern India especially Tamilnadu. Pongal celebrated as a way of expressing gratitude for the abundance of the harvest. We celebrated Pongal festival on January 11,2025. Smartly dressed in colourful ethnic wear, are students they performed many enthralling songs, dances and Rangoli. ”Chakara pongal” prepared in clay pots and distributed to the parents, students, teachers and support staff. The celebration began with a prayer, followed by a message which reminded the children about the importance of the harvest festival.
Our team members conducted traditional healthy food displayed in our school campus and also conducted “Volley ball” match. Highlight of the day was traditional game like “Uriyadi”. Finally we celebrated the Pongal festival end with joy.
